7th Team World Championship  

Fourteen country teams are playing the Team World Championship, at Zaragoza city, in Spain, from June 11th till 22nd. They are: Russia, Ukraine, Spain, Germany, India, Poland, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Bulgaria, Columbia, Romania, Slovenia and Sweden. Women and Youth Championship   Forthcoming
The IBCA Women Championship is a World Championship reserved for all blind and visually impaired women from all the affiliated countries. The IBCA Youth Championship will be a World Championship where all blind and visually impaired Under 20 could play. The tournament will be performed at Belgrade city, in Serbia, from August 21st to September 1st.

Panamerican Championship   Forthcoming  

FEDELIV, from Colombia, supports the Pan American Championship for blind and visually impaired. It will be held at Santa Marta city (Colombia) from 30th October till 4th November.

Russia wins 14th Blind Olympiad in Chennai
Top seeds Russia emerged clear winners after the ninth and final round of the TATA 14th IBCA Chess Olympiad for the Blind 2012 at Hotel Le Royal Meridien, Chennai here today. Russia finished their engagements with 15 match points, clinching the team Gold. Taking the Silver and Bronze team medals were Ukraine and Spain respectively. Germany with 14 match points, tied for second spot with Ukraine and Spain, but finished fourth on tie-breaks.

IBCA's Congress at Chennai
During the TATA 14th Olympiad for Blind, IBCA made its Congress, with the presence of most of present countries and several that send their delegates. Some proposals were analyzed and it was defined the calendar of tounaments for next five years. The IBCA Executive Board for next period was elected by delegates. They were: Ludwig Beutelhoff (President), Charudatta Jadhav (1st Vice-president), Nikos Kalesis (2nd Vice-president), Stephen Hilton (Secretary), Sergio Harnandan (Treasurer), Clyde Leonard (delegate for Africa) and Daniel Morelli (delegate for America).
